Maui High School Foundation is excited to present the 13th Annual Maui High School Hall of Honor Awards Banquet. Join us in honoring our 2024 inductees.
- Silversword Heritage Award: An alumnus who is distinguished in life and work - Tom Tagawa, Class of 1932
- Award of Excellence: An alumnus who has excelled in their field or profession - Destin Cretton, Class of 1996
- Spirit of Maui Award: An alumnus who significantly contributed to our community - Bruce U'u, Class of 1985
- Inspiration Award: A faculty member (not necessarily an alumnus) past or present, who went above and beyond and has made a difference to the students of the school - Michael Ban, Athletic Director
- Saber Spirit Award: An individual (not necessarily an alumnus) who is an unsung hero to the school - Charles & Mitch Ota, Mitch- Class of 1951
Due to the Maui wildfires of August 8th, 2023, the announcement of our 2023 Inductees was postponed, along with the awards banquet & fundraiser which was originally set in September. The destructive wildfire event was a devastation that rocked our entire community and our planning committee knew that it was best to reschedule the honor festivities for a later time. We hope you can join us in paying overdue tribute to our outstanding 2023 Hall of Honor inductees.
The Hall of Honor Awards Banquet is a major fundraiser for the Maui High School Foundation and has also grown to be a popular and highly anticipated celebration for the Saber community. Event sponsorships, ticket sales, silent auction, and program booklet ad sales raise funds to support the Foundation in carrying out its mission to promote and foster the development of Maui High School.
This annual Saber celebration offers a spirit-filled evening of inspiration and unity as the Hall of Honor builds upon the future of Maui High by honoring its legacy. Come celebrate with us!
