Faculty & Staff Professional Development
​Fund Grants

The Maui High School Foundation is proud to support the continuous growth of our educators and staff. We are officially accepting applications for the Faculty and Staff Professional Development Fund for the Winter 2026 cycle.

This fund is designed to enhance the skills and performance of our team, ultimately benefiting the students and community of Maui High School.

Deadlines:
  • Application Window: January 6 – March 6, 2026 (OPEN NOW)
  • Eligibility: All permanent full-time MHS faculty and staff.
  • Funding Limit: Up to $1,000 per individual in any two-year period.
  • Selection: Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted.

Funding can be used for tuition, fees, and travel (airfare, lodging, etc.) for:
  • Local and out-of-state professional conferences.
  • Online courses and workshops in instructional techniques.
  • Pedagogical seminars and computer skills training.
  • Industry partnerships.

Note: Expenses such as professional dues, equipment (hardware/software), and meal costs (per diem) are not eligible for funding.
How to Apply
  1. Create an Account: NEW ACCOUNT and select "Create New Account."
  2. Get Pre-Approval: Complete your HIDOE pre-approval form (e.g., DOE OTM 200-005(a)) and have it signed by the Principal.
  3. Gather Documentation: Have your proof of enrollment (receipt or email confirmation) ready to upload.
  4. Submit Online: Complete the application form through the portal before the March 6 deadline.

Important: Applications for reimbursement for already completed professional development will not be accepted. You must apply before the activity begins.

Review & Disbursement
Applications are reviewed by the Professional Development Fund Committee based on alignment with Maui High School Foundation’s Mission, Vision, and General Learner Outcomes.
  • Notification: You will be notified via the portal within 3 weeks after the deadline.
  • Payment: Funds are disbursed directly to the applicant within 7-10 business days of approval.
  • Final Reporting: A final report and proof of completion must be submitted via the portal within 60 days of finishing your activity.
