$25,000 in scholarships will be awarded to Maui High's Class of 2023

The Scholarship committee of the Maui High School Foundation is pleased to announce that the Foundation will be awarding a minimum of $25,000 in scholarships to deserving members of Maui High School's graduating class of 2023. Please browse through our scholarship list below for more information and applications.

Silversword Scholarship

Two $1500 Silversword scholarships will be awarded to applicants displaying high caliber in academics, leadership, and citizenship. Must have a weighted cumulative high school grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Career & Technical Education Scholarship

Six $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to seniors within Maui High CTE Pathways who have developed and refined hard and soft skills necessary to be productive citizens. Applicants must be on track to being a CTE program completer by the end of third quarter of their senior year. Must have a weighted cumulative high school grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

CTE - Bob Dias Future Teachers Scholarship

Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to seniors within Maui High Education Pathway who have the passion or intend to be future educators. Applicants must be on track to being a
State of Hawaii Education Pathway completer by the end of third quarter of their senior year. Must have a weighted cumulative high school grade point average of at least 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.

AVID Scholarship

One $1000 scholarship and one $500 scholarship will be awarded to applicants who are currently in the AVID program. Must have a weighted cumulative high school grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.


Athletic Scholarship

Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to student-athlete applicants who demonstrate leadership, sportsmanship, work ethic, and citizenship.​ Must have a weighted cumulative high school grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.



Vocational Scholarship

One $1000 scholarship will be awarded to an applicant who will be pursuing a career in a vocational program beyond high school. The Vocational term serves as the umbrella for trade and technical programs. (some examples of trade or technical programs include: Automotive, Skilled Trades {Machinery, Electrician, Plumber...etc}, Cosmetology, Police Officers, Fire Fighters, Culinary, EMT, Nursing/Pharmacy/Dental/Veterinarian Assistant). 

Eryn-Joie Yogi Memorial Scholarship

Three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to applicants who plan to continue his/her education at a 2 or 4-year college, university, or technical school, and demonstrates a passion for helping people. 
Must have a weighted cumulative high school grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

 A&I Refrigeration Scholarship

Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to a Maui High School seniors who plans to attend UH Maui College AND/OR plans to enroll in a Maui-based trade or apprenticeship program. Must have a weighted cumulative high school grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Wilma Kaaiakamanu Opportunity Scholarship

Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to quality performing students that demonstrate financial need. Must have a weighted cumulative high school grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.




Make It Scholarship

Three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to applicants that demonstrate an interest in helping the school or community, show entrepreneurial spirit, and have participated in Maui High's STEAM Learning Center activities for at least 2 years. Must have a weighted cumulative high school grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
